Summary:    DENVER VS ATLANTA

The first game of the season for the Denver Lady Bulldogs was against Atlanta - the sky was still a little grey but the endeavor of both sides was outstanding. The Denver Ladies made up for their lack of experience with great commitment to the ball and stuck to their game plan. The early loss of Jalyssa Brummer was the most disappointing aspect of the game. At half time the scores were tight and reflected the closeness of all of the contests. Atlanta won more contests in the second half but the Lady Bulldogs delivered a very promising performance.

Final Score:        Denver 2.0.12 vs Atlanta 4.4.28
Goals:                Jessie Hazen, Monica Rasocha
Best players:      Jessie Hazen, Hallie Adrian, Monica Rasocha

Summary:    DENVER VS MILWAUKEE

After a great performance in the first game the Denver Ladies were excited to take on the vaunted Milwaukee team. Outstanding commitment to the ball and some great defence allowed Denver to hold their ground during the first half. Unfortunately, our inexperience with the variances in umpiring decisions between games left a few of our newer players a little perplexed. After a half-time reset, the Denver Ladies took it up a notch and were able to kick two goals to Milwaukee's four. Milwaukee's experience and training showed throughout the game and they ran out worthy winners. While the overall result was not a win, the Denver women fought valiantly throughout and the defence was especially stoic.

Final Score:        Denver 2.0.12 vs Milwaukee 9.3.57
Goals:                Jessie Hazen, Cassidi Gross
Best players:      Lara Porter, Hilary Phelan, Jessie Hazen

After two solid outings the Denver Lady Bulldogs were looking to finish the weekend with a win. An early goal by Calgary caught their attention and reminder of the game was hard fought as the Denver ruck team slowly began to gain control. The ball was delivered well out of the middle by Jessie, Hallie, Monica and Jen and the forward line kicked a convincing winning score. Denver's commitment to the ball was excellent and the final result reflected a great team effort.

Final Score:        Denver 6.7.43 vs Calgary White 1.0.6
