Training Has Started!

FOOTY IS BACK AT LAST !!!!
Pack up the snowboard and skis. Put away the mittens and beanies ladies and gentlemen....FOOTY IS BACK!

Sunday practice started March 9th. We train every Sunday at Veteran's Park, which is behind the Denver Police Station on the north side of I-25 @ University. Be ready with boots on at 10:00am. Bring your own water and pack your running shoes in case the field is full of soccer kids! All new and old players welcome.

Wednesday night sessions started March 12th. We train at Wash Park at 6:00pm. We meet at the east side of the park where Tennessee intersects with Franklin.  Daylight savings is here so no excuses not to be there.

ROAD TRIP!!!
Our first tournament of the year for our mens team(s) will be in Fort Lauderdale , FL over the weekend of April 12 & 13. All players and fans are welcome to "road-trip" (we actually fly) with the Dogs. Email us via the contact us link on the left for more details . What could be better than a weekend of footy, beers, sun and surf and hanging with the bling-flashing Doggies.... Florida style !! We promise to return to our humble mountain-ways after we return!

LADIES !!
We now have a team for you too! For the first time ever the Bulldogs are fielding a womens team all of our own. In the past we have provided Denver gals to top up some of the other teams at Nationals. Now we are ready to take on the USAFL Womens League on our own! Our girls will be travelling to Phoenix AZ over the weekend of May 31-June1 to compete in their first ever tourney. Good luck ladies, we are all right behind you ( well maybe a couple of feet behind for the married guys) .  If you are interested in becoming involved with our womens team either as a player or volunteer , please email us via the contact link to your left.

WHO'S THE BOSS?
We are pleased to introduce your 2008 Denver Bulldogs coaching staff. Tom Ellis is returning again this year as Club Coach. Tom is the first ever American coach to win a USAFL premiership, which the Doggies did in style last year over the San Deigo Lions in Louisville, KY . Joining him as Assistant Coaches this year will be longtime Bulldogs player and sponsor Bruce Durrell and young veteran stalwart, Benny Harling.  Dom Kennedy will be in charge of our Womens team. (Dom is staying anynomous without a photo at this stage - Amie his wife has asked us to keep his profile low otherwise we'll end up needing security for him at womens training)

From all involved with the club we wish these guys well and look forward to another stellar season for the Denver Bulldogs, the most successful team in the USAFL !
